Sources and Research Notes

The source hierarchy and starting references used to document Chinese tea oil and Camellia oleifera.

Source hierarchy

  1. Botanical and taxonomic authorities
  2. Food standards and official publications
  3. Individual peer-reviewed primary studies
  4. Systematic reviews that describe their methods
  5. Named industry or producer material, clearly labeled

Starting reference systems

Chinese official standards

The SAMR National Standard Information Public Service Platform is the starting point for checking the current status of standards. Relevant references include GB/T 11765-2018 for oil-tea camellia seed oil, GB 2716-2018 for vegetable oil, GB 2762-2022 for contaminants and GB 2763-2021 for pesticide-residue limits. Current status must be checked before relying on a standard number.

Regional and forestry sources

The National Forestry and Grassland Administration is used as an official discovery source for dated Chinese forestry material. Pure Oleifera will not publish province rankings without a named year, metric and issuing body.

Producer-supplied images

Authorized product images may illustrate packaging or format. They are labelled as producer-supplied material and do not independently verify organic status, laboratory results or health claims.
